PointOne Principal is the firm's proprietary capital arm. The establishment recommends what it will never own, with nothing of its own at risk. We live with what we advise, exposed to the same outcomes as the families and companies we serve.
How our capital shows up.
Three ways, one conviction. The principals of PointOne, and the firm's balance sheet, invest beside the people we serve.
- The principals invest personal capital in the same core-satellite architecture our family office runs. The same strategy, the same positions, the same risk.
- The firm places balance-sheet capital as GP commitments in the transactions the investment bank does. When we advise a deal, we are in it.
- For select opportunities, we structure bespoke vehicles, one per deal, and invest beside the families who join us. Our P1FO families get first look and a right of first refusal.
Investing alongside those we advise creates conflicts of interest as well as alignment; how we manage them is described in our Form ADV.
